I know there are a number of places out there who do this. Does anyone here have any firsthand experience with them? I'd like to make sure I'm using a decent place & not just one with a bunch of bogus ratings.

I had Costco transfer a bunch of VHS and 8mm a few years ago. Its somewhat nerveracking as some movies were very old and you have to hand it over, but it worked out ok in the end.
My wife had a bunch done at Walgreens. It was a lot more expensive than expected. They charged per DVD, but they did not fill the DVD. 10 different 10 minute VHS school tapes became 10 different DVDs.
There is software that can capture it. Borrow a VCR, buy the composite/RCA adapter, and plug it into your USB.

I have enough unfinished projects I'll probably never get around to.
I think Walgreens is the easy answer since we're there fairly regularly & already use them for photo printing.
Thanks!
I have heard radio commercials for Legacy Box which they send you a box and anything you can fit into the box they transfer all one price. At least that's how it used to work. The website is legacybox.com I did not really look at it so don't know the details but have also thought about doing this. Let us know what you do.
