Usually those paint marks on the suspension are an overcheck by QA or the operator to ensure that they bolt has been torqued or torque has been checked. Usually added as a response to a non conformance caught on the line at some time.

So basically it's not something that would be done as normal procedure, unless a previous spot check shows noncompliance?
