The Mazda RX-4 originally came from the factory with a two-rotor Wankel engine said to be good for around 130 horsepower. This RX-4, however, is about as far away as one can get from the factory version, packing six rotors underneath its hood.
What do all those extra rotors do? Make noise, apparently (headphones users beware).

Gotta love Australians (edit: PPRE is in New Zealand)! Here's an older video of it puttering around a track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay9pTLa3mSE

Heh. When I saw the engine I thought "they're either in NZ or in Puerto Rico".
Wouldn't want it living beside me on a Sunday morning when the guy had to leave early....

All that dust being sucked back into the open inlets during the dyno pull... sigh.
In reply to j_tso :
I miss the old A-RF website. They used to have all sorts of cool driving/dyno/track day/vehicle inspection videos.
They also had a penchant for taking FC (all turbo in the homeland) and FDs and converting them to natural aspiration.

aw, I didn't know they took their dyno page down. Their website still looks straight out of 1998.
Man, I love cars that make sound. It must be my stock car background. Thanks for sharing!
