The carts we used to allow to run on the big track locally had no suspension, but then the frames were somewhat flexible so I supoose that helped.
I wonder how much differently it would have performed with like 10-15psi in the tires. Assuming the beads would hold, of course.

I know it's just for the clicks. But sheesh, does it need to be highlighted on a motorsports forum.
We just did some testing (accidentally) this past weekend. A blown rear shock will cost you 3 seconds a lap on a 64 second kart track. We did not test without a suspension, and neither did we shoot video.
