Yes, there's a NASCAR series that runs in Europe. It's a fun series to follow, next season they're running a race on ice. One of the teams was in the Roval test a couple weeks ago and plans to run a Cup car next year.

Apparently a couple people ahead of you. It takes no effort to keep dumb questions to yourself.
Jacques has always been kind of a shiny happy person, but damn if the guy can't drive the hell out of anything with 4 wheels.
I knew there was stock car racing in other countries, but didn't know some were under the NASCAR banner.
Rubens Barrichello won a Brazilian stock car championship a few years ago.
There is a whole group of people in northern NE and update NY that tear it up on the lakes and ponds through the winter.

That was needlessly snarky, I apologize for that. It gets a little old though that every time the word NASCAR appears a "who cares" comment isn't far behind.
I've watched a few ice races in upstate NY and am tempted to go see NASCAR on ice next year.
While I usually think 500 miles to the left is rather boring to watch, NASCAR on ice could be a spectacle worth tuning in for.

I don't think so at all. It needed to be said. People seem to think it is ok to hate on things that others get enjoyment from. It is offensive and needs to be called out publicly. It is the only way change can occur. There are many forms of motor sports I am not particularly interested in but I don't go dropping a steaming Duce in the middle of threads about them.
Your humility with regards to your original comment is what makes you such a great person but in this case, in my opinion, your original comment was spot on.
I was always under the assumption that Nascar type series in Europe was the DTM... Guess I was mistaken.
I see that this is actually Nascar which I have not been all that fond of since Before I was born.. I liked when they were actually production based cars. Back to watching GT cars Imsa GTLM / GTD Style.

I mean, it's perfectly ok to hate on stuff you don't like. Why?
Because it lets the rest of us know you're a shiny happy person.
I can be a shiny happy person without trying. Being a nice person takes work lots of work. I am forever going to be a work in progress ;-)

I honestly didn't know there was a NASCAR Euro series, but for better or worse, I kinda lost interest in NASCAR when they went to the "stages" format. I actually enjoyed the strategy and planning required to run a 500 mile race. I'm sure there are different strategies required for the stage format, but for whatever reason it doesn't seem as interesting to me. Granted, my interest in watching racing live has waned in the last decade or so. Even F1 is pretty much limited to the short recaps on the F1 YouTube channel. Once in awhile if a race gets streamed live on YouTube I'll watch it.
The Euro series does sound interesting. I'm guessing they only run on road courses?

I've been following a couple years now and enjoying it. It's a shorter series, usually once a month with two races, one Saturday one Sunday all on roadcourses. One of the teams was at the next gen test last month and plans to run in the cup series next season.
