Mr. Hollis I believe you quoted the Vitour tempesta was the fastest 200 tire. How does this tire compare to a goodyear supercar 3r tire? Also, I was searching for a 275 35 18 supercar 3r and they are not available anywhere. Is goodyear discontinuing this tire or are they building an updated version of this tire.

Thoughts? anyone

Justin Peachey or Kevin Burke will be testing against the 3R eventually.

I have tested extensively against the same size A052, and the fast lap times are quite similar in same size, however the Vitour Tempesta P1 has an advantage in heat tolerance (more flying laps before heat fall off, no spraying needed in autocross), and substantially better wear. If you can go larger in the P1, there is a substantial advantage in pace.

There are reviews and test results collecting in this facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/415534870800857/

Any questions feel free to reach out -- https://vitourp1.com

Supercar 3R is made in batches periodically.  As such, it goes in and out of stock in certain sizes frequently.  People who use them know to buy when available,. not when needed...which makes things worse.

The exceptions are the OE fitment sizes, which are the two Camaro sizes and now the Tesla Plaid.  Those are always in supply.

I have found that Goodyear.com has the latest inventory, even when TireRack does not have them in stock.  So always try there.

As for a direct comparo, I expect such from a couple of GridLife TrackMod guys at some point, since it matters to them.  But I have no plans myself.  Other fish to fry.  One really big one, or so I am led to believe.
