Agreed, but I have to go pick the car up first which might take some time due to training that requires travel for long periods of time. Hopefully I can get it within a week and take pictures before I leave. Had to have a friend grab it for me. Alas, I might as well plan for the inevitable. Seems the PO kept up with basic maintenance on it but I'm going to do my own for peace of mind. Anything out of the ordinary I should do for Volvos? Also any recommendations on clutch kits?

I say to stick with stock since you want to run it in the stock class.

Ironically Mr Clutch the rules allow any clutch even in stock. "Any clutch disc or pressure plate may be used provided it fits all the other unmodified, stock components." I'll still use a stock clutch but was wondering if there was something better around the same price since I have to replace it anyways.

I find that quite odd since that quite doesn't fall in line with putting a stock turbo on a Volvo and it not being eligible for stock classing. I guess it's different racing on dirt.

You can put a stock turbo on a Volvo just fine. As long as you took a turbo off.

Clutches are free (provided they attach to unmodified everything-else) because they are wear items, and it is stupid to require you to buy a clutch from the dealer when asymptotically zero people do this out of warranty. Same for cat back exhausts and brake pads and rotors and air filters - as long as it fits, it's okay, no need for OEM parts.

What IS kind of lame is that catalysts must be OE in Stock.

Well my search continues. Long story short, went to go pick up the car with cash in hand, at this point I gave him a deposit, and told me he's not selling it me anymore. Apparently someone paid him double and gave me my deposit back. So back on the search to find a car! Huzzah! The vajajay.... It also appears my debit card was compromised the same day. Things always happens in three's they say.

Well I still have time (months) on my hands to find one.

Good to know JJ, I'll keep that in mind when I finally find a car.
