My own very low tech approach to making a 740 turbo go like stink is to disconnect the hose from the waste gate regulator and run high octane gas in it.
Now the various turbo brick board experts insist this can't work and that my car was to soon self destruct. Perhaps, it only 300,000 miles on it when I sold it after nearly 10 years, and had been run this way for at least 150,000 miles.
