I love both of these race series, and used to watch every race, but since the change in channels I no longer get either, and it would cost me another $40 a month to get them. I'm old school and watch TV on a TV, so I'm not up on watching stuff online. Is there a way to watch these online without paying a bunch for it?

World Challenge events are broadcast live here: http://world-challengetv.com/
The production quality of the live races is a bit sketchy but better versions are shown on a delayed basis on the CBS Sports Network. The website then makes that broadcast available sometime after that.
The races from Road America are actually on today, tomorrow and Sunday.
I had the opportunity to spend some alone time with a couple of the cars during the past few weeks. I've been studying aerodynamics etc. for my own project and figured I might learn something (which I did) from the current crop of Challenge cars. Lots of cool carbon fiber and aluminum.
Note the ducts on the underside of the hood. They're fresh air for the driver. Also the high tech tow hook which is nothing more than a steel cable bolted to the frame.

World Challenge GT streaming live right now.
The erratic live broadcast issues still live on; the website timer showed when streaming would start except it joined the race after the green flag. W.T.F... There is a new(ish) announcer this week and he (in addition to not being very good) cannot even pronounce drivers' names correctly. Streaming quality is bouncing between great and abysmal.
World Challenge's online performance falls far below the quality product they put on track.
