This is the youngest grandson.
That's all.
He converted a tub, a beach ball, a baseball bat and a couple of other random things to make his own race car the other night. Talk about grassroots. http://youtu.be/X0N2Hv5BJ8o

That made my day, and make sure this recording is available when he wins the F1 world championship in a few years.
Brilliant

I'll have to post the photo of my now-12-year-old "working" on stuff in the shop when she was 1. Got to round that photo up.
Clem
My kid but unfortunately not my car, taken at the historic races last year in Mont Tremblant
This is my car, taken in my shop which is nothing like the facilities above.
I don't know how to hotlink, but here are a few pics of my boys stripping down a 79 RX-7 around a year and a half ago.

Mine just keeps asking, "What are you doing Dad?" Doesn't even lift a finger to help. Almost like her mother.
when my older girl was 6, she helped me make the "two toggles and a pushbutton" V8 944 into a turn-key car.
then my 3-year-old girl wanted to get into the act, so she helped us test the switches.
Keep them coming. It's good to know that there will be a least a few people in the world that can actually fix things when they grow up.
Here's all three of the boys a couple of weeks ago. 24, 12, and 9.
He took his socks off and used them to clean the wheel... Now, I just about can't keep him out of the toolbox.

Love the bike!
In reply to poopshovel:
I used to bring it to the Lemons races until Jay came up with the "no pit bikes" rule. I didn't hear them announce it this year, so it might be back. Then again it would probably blow up like the golf cart did.
This is my son at 11 or 12 years old. If he had the gas to, he would do 500 laps a day, and could put that car up on two wheels at will.
My 7 year old son at One Lap last year when it passed through Gainesville. It's interesting to me to see what cars appeal to him. He loves Corvettes and is pretty keen on Vipers too. A very cool Corvette team and they were kind enough to let him sit in the car while packing up. I love his grin under the shield!
I love when racers let little ones have a seat in their race car. It does so much good will for the kids.
Ok, I need to bring this back.
Second cruise/gathering/whatever of the year- last night. He was actually really well behaved. Maybe it was the shoes?
Last...fall? He was maybe 2 months old in this pic. He'd been fussy all day and I was trying to get him to sleep to so I could get some stuff done on some friends cars. I set him in the front seat of my car and left it open so I could hear him if he was cryin'. Came back 5min after no noise to this........

I think that is track specific. One track had some issues with the shenanigans and made that rule. Maybe it was Charlotte?
