Just buy my boost controller.

It's been sitting in a box for a few months while i hope that it magically turns into an HKS EVC 1 someday.

^hehe, that's why I was asking if MS would do it, I'm a fan of "less components/interactive systems" the better.

I could see the use for the map switching if you were changing between turbochargers to suit different events.

Or turning down the power in the wet. Or at an Auto-X.

I'm a fan of switches and things i can actually feel.

In that case, I would just use a boost controller and turn it down. That is just my opinion.

on the volvo I wouldn't mind a 2 stage (no imput on doing it with MS)... the volvo is a family DD... having a switch to run low boost for when you loan it out (rare but it happens), bad weather (16+psi and a locker is fun but again would rather 8psi with the wife running kids around) and for high way on the cruise control it's prob because it's an old vac based cruise system but it'll quickly run up to max boost when it downshifts to get up a hill on cruise...

a TPS based switch would prob be good also... for one it would mean the kick down cable is where it needs to be to hold the power... but how many newer turbo drivers are on autotragic boxes lol...

Those are really fun when the check valves go out in them on an old turbo car.

Ask me how i know, and i'll tell you why i completely removed cruise control from the MX6.

Is it possible two piggyback two Megasquirts in a (albeit larger) case and switch between them?

I ask because I dream of a strip/street driven twin turbo E85 v8 car that can run big boost (20psi+) at the track and low boost (<6psi) on regular-premium unleaded when used as a highway cruiser. A ten gallon cell for each fuel with a proper switching valve and dedicated pumps. When starting the car you could select the fuel grade with a toggle switch igniting the relays for that specific system. The issue I see is plug heat range, but I may be missing something.

could be as simple as wiring a switch between the 2... but they already have table switching so why?

92CelicaHalfTrac... did the ball freeze up or something?... I had some fun with a hose popping off the WG... made 20+ PSI VERY fast...

i'm still debating on if I want to do EBC with the MS or just stick to MBC for the s10.

EDIT: You beat me.

^You can switch between two maps on the fly in MS already, no need for two. And like was mentioned earlier, no point in even doing that since you can run the GM Flex Fuel sensor straight to MS to calibrate Ethanol content on the fly.

Well then. Good to know!

john... should be able do that with box standard MS... make it so the switch that controls tables (e85/93) also controls a relay for the fuel pump...

I would imagine with the table switching it would also control the EBC selection but haven't read up to much on the dual table switching bit...

no e85 around these parts still so i'm sticking to 93... and maybe alky for higher boost (although I am limited to 20ish psi for the time being

Nooo... best as i can tell, the positive pressure in the cruise control system somehow made it keep accelerating at full boost. I found myself doing about 100mph by the top of the hill in a hurry.

My answer is, yes, you can setup an analog input that directly effects max boost pressure and nothing else.

How? Well, the software is open source.

Go over to www.msextra.com and post a request to add a new option to the code... James/Ken/Phil monitor requests on the forum for new functionality. If its not in the code already they can add it if possible...
