Yes Jack Paar certainly was, but he was before my time. I thought Carson pretty much gave it to both sides, the way I like it.

Carson gave it to whoever was in office at the time, just like Leno or any of the late night hosts.

The point I was making in the quote above is they all go after whoever happens to be in office at the time. I covered the level of how hard Jay went after them in an earlier post:
