No solid answer yet, but here's my latest communication about passengers

Anyone venture a guess as to how many trips up the course you would get per day?

Aaron says 2-3 runs up the hill per day.   I've never done a hillclimb, but that doesn't seem like a lot.   Hopefully there would be different sessions for different classes, so a driver (and his wife, lol) aren't sitting in the car/staging all day waiting to go up or down the hill.   Being able to do some non-racing exploring/activities is a big draw for me to this event.

I texted Andy this morning to get the enabling I was looking for. Really leaning towards entering my truck for the event.

What have I just done to myself?

Just signed up for this as my first hillclimb, now all I need is to get one of the cars ready for it.

I have signed up as well!  Also my first hillclimb.   And my old reliable e36 is giving me some issues.  Plenty of time to get it resolved (I hope), or I'll be going up the hill in a rental car!

I hate to admit it, but I think the only way I could have a car ready for any event is to first register for the event.

I wouldn't say I thrive under pressure, but it certainly helps to have a deadline in sight.

Same here. Recently I haven't been able to motivate myself to get prep done on cars otherwise.

With this event being less than a month away, just curious how many of the GRM folks plan on racing in/attending this event.

Awesome!  I got my hotel booked, bought tickets and signed up for the scenic drive.  The drive out to Snow Shoe looks to be a lot of fun. Hopefully it's a good time.

I'll be in this car.  Are you doing the Hillclimb?

I'd appreciate the photos!   I spectated one a couple years ago and my wife and I had a good time.  This one looks to have way more activities for spectators, so should be even better!

I am tempted to fly out and bring whatever rental car they give me at the Hertz counter. I have a hybrid Hans so I can use it with a three point belt.

Driving out is such a commitment, especially with a car you'll be absolutely thrashing up the hill over and over again. Plus it would be hilarious to place midpack with a bog standard Camry or whatever.

I strongly considered using a rental car for the event as well!  I believe the safety requirements at most hill climb events wouldn't let that happen, but the less stringent rules here offer a rare opportunity.  disclaimer, I am not an expert of the rules of most hillclimb events.

I had planned to go but I just found out that I have to be in Houston for work. Boo!

I only got one blurry photo of you in town, I didn't get chance to see you run.  Hope you had a fun time! My wife, who doesn't care about cars, had a blast! We rode the ski lift, ate at the restaurants, and the live music was nice.

Thanks!  No worries, I didn't get many runs (only 2 on competition Saturday), so no surprise you didn't get a photo opp on track.   There were a lot of cars competing (113) and the staging wait was looong, made worse by cars off track, spilled fluids, lunch breaks and breaks for the shuttle bus.  The event was a ton of fun overall but competition runs were scarce.
