I just recently paintedy car with single stage acrylic enamel with medium wet look hardener. It is championship white, no flakes no pearls.

It does have a little bit of orange peel due to it being done outside. I did a tack coat with 2 medium wet coats after. With a 10-15 minute flash time between coats.

I am looking for recommendations on wet sanding and buffing the car to get a good smooth finish on it. I have a orbital buffet as of right now and access to a rotary from work. I've read many articles, watched videos and asked people that have done this kind of work. All say start with 1200-1500 sandpaper and go up to 2k-2500. My only problem now is picking out the compound and polish to use.

Any recommendations? Is meguairs ultimate compound and ultimate polish good?

I have used the 3m finesse it materials on this exact paint.  It will make cheap paint look good. You need a variable speed buffer so you don't burn the paint. You can get a cheap one at harbor freight.
