Rear deck a bit hump-like as in California spyder. Hiding a hard top convertible again?
reminds me of the Z3-Z4 transition of the rear end.
fine here, the "weak" trunk lip has always annoyed me the most about the Miata. So that's one complaint down. I wish they'd stop making the front end look like a face now. This one I think I'll call the "catfish face"
Quite a bit less "Cute" than previous generations.
Seriously. Who is watching a car unveiling? Nerds, that's who. Does this audience care about Duran Duran?

That view makes it look like the S2000 front and the Z3-M rear had a mash-up.
Wow, I didn't know Chris Bangle went to Mazda!
Is that the new Z4? Er, Z5? Um, whatever BMW is calling their roadster thing this week?
At least the front end doesn't look like a smiling whale like the last MS3.
If the rumored weight loss is true, why did they go and make it LOOK so heavy?
Now Mazda, throw a wrench in the gears and announce that under the skin, it's AWD and turbo.
You can kinda see the white one in the back with the top up.
Anyone want to buy a nice GT Mustang?

It would be funnier if they pulled the cover off a car with a real roof and said the convertible was coming in a year.
That's the only way I'd ever buy a Miata, personally. I want a fastback.
If they make a coupe I'll get one eventually. If they make a shooting brake I'll set up a tent at the Mazda dealer and sleep with my head on a pile of cash until they let me have one.
Kind of why I is building my own!

In Japan, I hear that Shonen Knife is playing the concert.
Look how far back the engine sits. Where are the mechanical details at! I wanna know!

I own two NA's and an NB (and a 428CJ 4-speed Ford). Deserves a BIG "whatever"...
Well I'm glad my internet connection didn't let me pull up the video feed. I'm also glad Mazda seems to have stuck with the trend and made another surprisingly good looking car. Now tell me how much power it's going to make, please.
40 minutes of a washed up 80's band, a couple minutes of the side of the new miata. Worst reveal party ever.
If you go to Mazda.com and see the full sized pictures it almost looks OK IF those are 14" wheels. I wonder what size they are.
They still keep showing it from the left side, even during the shot of it driving away! Weird unveiling... What about the car?!

Duran Duran got more camera time than the damn car
I wanted to see the new MX5. Instead I just saw some old guys that were cool in the 80's.
If I wanted to see an old guy that was cool in the 80's, I would look in the mirror!
Thanks for the link to the Mazda site pic. I really dig it! Unfortunately, they are short on the pics still.
