Never seen on in real life before. I took this with my cell phone. It was parked in the lot where I park my car for work. Just an amazing car!!!! This is an "S" Not the standard Vantage.

That is like going to the GGA thread and saying that a post-op tranny is pretty close to Mila Kunis.

Well... it could be except for a few parts and it's pretty expensive to swap them out so if you can live with it... who am I to judge. It's a damn sight cheaper.

Lol
Mmadness wrote: That's actually a V12 Vantage, a very rare (and expensive) car even as Astons are concerned.
This^^^^^ That is what caught my attention. The V12 also designates it as an "S" I was told. I was just astounded by the engineering. CF brake rotors. Hell the whole hood was CF as were many other bits on it. As much art as it is an engineering marvel.
$180k will pay for about half of this.......
So excuse my peasant remarks about the Aston(even if it is sex on wheels)

I always think that's a fleet of very fast very custom "cheaper" cars with infinitely more character. I would personally have a v12 mgbgt, replica porsche 356, 914 (sti powered tube subframes), slc, a unimog...... that totals to a little bit more than 180k but not much.

Its gotten bad enough that I now mistake Astons in traffic for Fords. Not long ago I saw a Vantage 100yds away and thought "That's an odd looking mustang" till I got closer.

Not in the northeast.

I will never forget the time I saw a decent looking large sedan coming toward me and thought, "hey, that new Hyundai looks alright." Then it got closer and I recognized the Maybach badging.
Back to the topic at hand, I parked next to a Ford GT yesterday at the local REI. Will 180k get you one of those?
Anyone else think the wheels on Astons like the Vantage shown above are sort of "bling" and not very classy or having a quality appearance? It also seems like the tire is too narrow for the wheel and I'd want more sidewall, personally, for ride quality as well as appearance.

At REI? For 180k you might get a decent set of Helly Hansen logo'd long undies and a well adjusted backpack but an REI Aston? Maybe a cool million with 20% off from membership but it would be available in special colors you just couldn't get anywhere else.
In reply to Giant Purple Snorklewacker:
I scored a pair of HellyHansen undies at an REI Garage Sale for only $30k. Only had to resew the crotch.
I look at those and think my house and cars cost that much.
I had the honor of going for a ride in a beautiful Aston convertible. A beautiful blue and light tan leather combo. I would have a hard time parting with that kind of money for a car but man was it a sweet ride. I think they are depreciating quickly. :)

I do too. Then I remember that I'm working to become the guy who looks at a $100k car as a well-deserved year-end bonus.
I shake my head sometimes when I had a press car like the $230,000 Cdn SLS AMG, that was actually worth more than my house.
By the time I can afford one of those they will be classics and I won't be able to afford one again.
