I thought someone asked this question sometime ago but I can't seem to pull it up. Is it safe to buy the premium brand coils from rock auto? I'm too lazy and it's to cold out to pull a coil to check what brand Honda used.  The previous owner replaced one coil which might be the one going bad but I plan on doing all 4 at once anyway. No check engine light just a slight occasional miss at idle.

As long as you stick with a reputable brand you should be fine.  Things like NGK, Delphi, Denso. I've used those successfully on a wide range of cars.

I used denso on my girlfriend's car. Everyone says the cheap off brand ones don't last at all

My Hyundai Accent is notorious for bad coil packs.  NGK sells a box of four, which to me is a bit of a clue.  I've always been pleased with NGK, Delphi, and Denso.
