I you figure out something good I'd be interested; I have three of those engines brand new my dad picked up for some reason.

This.  Amazon and ebay have new pump units for cheap.  They'll last about 2 years.  I did this exact thing: someone gave me a free pressure washer with a toasted pump.  $50 later I had a pressure washer to take to camp and leave there.  Or I could have sold it for $150.

You could also find some other fun yard implement with a toasted motor and repower it.

I thought you could convert a vert shaft to a horizontal one.  Seems a lot of YouTubers have.  Here's one:
