Seller keeps saying it's a 1976 Ford Mont and I, nor google are pulling anything up. It looks like a Fox body ranchero . But I really want it.... I'll see if I can get more pics

And seller claims this one has a V8 in already , she is asking 4 grand and it's not in good shape. What's a reasonable offer?

If its a v8 swap and not rusty they seem to go 3500+. the rarity of the conversion combined with the fox chassis makes them weirdly desirable.

Foxes in general are going up, ive been shopping for a v8 donor for a while.

Use $4k as the starting price then subtract for rusty floors, bad carb., bad paint, ruined interior, etc. Don't be in a rush. Make your low offer and let the silence work for you, after you make an offer the first person to speak loses. Good luck!

Make sure you check the torque boxes and both front strut towers really well. Try to find out what year the engine is, if its a lesser desirable smog era version you may be able to save a few bucks. The better blocks are the roller stuff used 89+.

Rear axle is likely still a 7.5, limited parts availability if you plan ti use the vehicle for any kind of motorsport.

It may be the angle, but the back of the "cab" doesn't look quite like a Durango. It looks almost like someone started with a 4-door.

Agree. Picture of a real one at All-Ford Nationals in 1999

Easy way to tell: Look for this sticker inside the door. It is there because you can't see the rear light from behind when the tail gate is down

I think it's just the camera angle making it look weird.

There is no way that is a 4K car. I just saw a perfect elcamino with some nice upgrades sell on mecum auction for 8k. To me that is a 2k car at best and it would have to be rust free at that number.

They made a E36 M3load more el caminos then these. Foxbodys have a cult following.

Based on some quick calculations and this approach she should pay someone about 4k to take it. That my be accurate.

There are other options of the non-Fox body type.
