In reply to SlickDizzy:

Actually the Viggen has the 2.3 out of the 9-5 Aero. They are all also T7 cars not T5 like the first 9-3's.

I know they are all T7, I keep forgetting the regular 9-3 had a 2.0 though even with T7 (keep thinking they are all 2.3s). The main difference is still the turbo, the Viggen/Aero 2.3 (and interestingly enough the 1999 T5 2.0 "SE") had a TD04 while all other Saabs have the smaller T25.

That is one of the reasons I got my 99 9-3 SE. It had the same turbo and intercooler as the Viggen but with the easier to mod T5.

This thread is relevant to my interests. I've been getting the itch for a different DD now that I've had my Mazda for 6 years. The Saab 9-5 wagon seems to be a nice blend of fanciness, wagon utility, and turbo boosted torque steer. Those heated and ventilated seats are pretty rad.

In reply to Klayfish: I'll agree Volvo has the best seats, period. But I think the Saabs drive better, and the seats are still excellent.

Oh, snap! Look what I bumbled across this morning:

It's a nice car. 130,000 miles, but very clean and unmolested.

Wagon not necessary. Sedan's OK, since we already have one Volvo wagon.

How are these cars? I haven't driven it since the dealer was closed on Sunday and it's 150 miles from me now that it's Monday.
