I picked up a clean box-stock 110K mile '02 for a hair under $5K in January. Most others that I saw were being listed for closer to $7K though.

my '01 Integra LS … (starting price will be in the $6k range … GRM price TBT) 92k miles, 3 door hatch (so room for stuff), timing belt …etc done ~ 2 - 3k mi. ago … it's lived outside all it's life, so the paint isn't the greatest (no clear coat peal) … no rust … the car has never been on a salt road
right now it still has the AEM CAI and the Comptech 22mm rear bar (both can come off and will affect the price) but they do add to the a-x ability of the car
OEM springs/shocks
everything works …if serious I'll explain it's little idiosyncrasies LOL
again, if serious I'll send pics
black with tan interior … 5sp
Like I said I'm not really ready to buy anything right now. I have limited space and still need to do something with my Cavalier. I've decided to take this as an opportunity to clear house a little and get all of the stuff I'm never going to use out of my shop, basement, and overflow shed. I still have my Miata to drive all summer so I'm in no real rush, just wanted to try to narrow down my options for when I am ready.
Oddly enough my 2 main frontrunners before posting this were an xj or some sort of Subaru. With the exception of gas milage is there any reason to steer clear of an early wrx. From my passed cars I've gotten used to premium only and not so good gas mileage. Besides I go to college in the middle of nowhere so going anywhere except the Walmart in town in freeway driving. I don't really drive all that much either when I'm at school.
unless something very sudden happens .. the Integra will just "be for sale" … without it being pushed … and it get's mid 30's on 87 … the worst it'll get should be high 20's (all city/stop and go traffic)
Early WRX's can get crunchy 2nd gear synchros. Most have been beat on, so choose carefully. Check for rust. Other than that they are a lot of fun.
Saab 900 Turbo. Sure its old but its FWD, turbo, great in the snow, and have you seen one with the back seat folded down? Puts many a wagon or SUV to shame. Buy a nice one from a rust-free state and make a road trip out of it. I happen to know a guy (really, its not me honest!) who has a few he might be willing to let go of fairly cheaply.
