Finished the dual exhaust on the '77 Silverado. Soon the new engine will be firing up!
OOH. That's niiiiiiice. That's very nice exhaust work. Wow, that's nice. I have been trying to figure out the exhaust on my '76c10 for a very long time. I like that, ALOT. If you don't mind me asking, What size is the exhaust tubing and what brand are the headers?
Also, What's up with the leaf spring pack? That's a lot of leaves for what appears to be a lowered truck.

Thank you very much!
The headers were used I picked up off CL. I believe the guy said they were Flowtech. They look like Flowtech.
The pipes are 2-1/2" up to the mufflers.
Cheap generic Walker mufflers.
The tails are 2-1/4" out of the muffler.
I wanted the tails to exit like a 70's Nova - kind of angled down just behind the rear wheel. I tried to snake them between the box and the frame rails near the rear shackle, but I just couldn't make that work and be happy with the fit (too close). I don't like the exit as it is, but it's what fit. I will be slicing the tails to match the body angle eventually.
The truck was a long box with heavy leafs and heavy duty front brakes (it would have been a "Big 10" if it had heavy front coils). I short-boxed the frame (14" cut behind the cab and 5" off the back). I imagine the leafs are also longer than shortbox leafs, which may make it look different.
THE ENGINE RAN TODAY!!!! CAM BREAK-IN COMPLETE!!!!
350, .020, balanced, ported 305 heads, 230/470/108 cam, Rochester on a Performer intake, Windstar dual fans.
Picture from before the engine was pulled and exhaust was done:
Passed smog today first try with the mercedes, got it good and hot, put low octane and some injector cleaner and some e85, first time passing smog on the first try. This catalyst lasted 3 smogs. I didn't even run tons of e85 just about 1/2 gallon or so.

That's a great project. My short bed truck was the big ten package so it had a lot of leaves on it as well. For whatever reason chevy made both 52" and 56" leaves on the short beds and long beds. Mine with the 56" 8 spring pack, which I swapped out for three leaf 52". I wanted the short springs to work and lighter weight so it would work with the caltracs I added.
Great looking project. Keep up the good work.

Seated the rings today....
I welded a Honda bolt for a brake hose bracket to the Ford axle I am sticking in the rear of my Jeep.
Opened the box of the Tokico D-Specs and Ford Motorsport strut mounts for the S197. I has an automotive buzz goin' on.
nothing.. too damn cold and I have not been to bed since getting up at yesterday at 6am
I picked up a family style bar to replace the kid crusher one currently on the jeep. It will be awhile before I get around to swapping it.

I finally got the damn TDi in the garage and on the lift so I can start fixing it. And discovered that if I raise the car up high enough, I can just wedge the nose of another car under it and get two cars in my garage.
I mounted the new radiator in the barracuda and added in the new 7 blade fan and fan clutch. I got the gas tank mounted again and prepped to get undercoated.
I should have it ready to start again and tuning it in next weekend. I just need a new hose clamp and to fill the tank with some gas.
Ordered windshield rubber for Mga coupe friday gonna be nice not driving w/ googles

Ah the joys of working on a vehicle that sat too long.

Put the back seat back into the Subaru now that the fuel leak is FINALLY fixed & tracked down the rattling to yet another piece of rusted metal underneath at the cat. No more heat shield = no more rattle AND weight reduction!
drove my 70 in the snow today, and realized that with my current ride heoght i have 4* negative camber. need to align it.
also, getting the mazda back from the paint shop in a couple of hours. only 3 weeks overdo and the paint dont match.

Leave the seat out and be even lighter!
Machined and inserted throttle shaft bushings in the Crusty Chevy's Rochester. Cost: $2
ordered parts
... and they is some good parts
Started it back up again. I fixed a couple of small leaks and started the tuning process. I've got a little bit to go.
Drove the Zombiechero, now with new and improved forward gears
e30: re-welded the bracket that holds the coolant-overflow reservoir on the car (wonder how long it's been broken off....just dumb luck I noticed it when I put my hand on the reservoir and it fell off....)
sequoia: rebuilt front calipers. painted front calipers. new Hawk HPS pads. had wife pump brakes to bleed them. changed front and rear diff fluid and transfer case fluid. replaced rear windshield wiper. greased u-joints and slip-joint in front and rear driveshafts
e21: moved the engine around (on stand) to someplace else not in the way. Need to put this thing in the car just to get garage space back........
Replaced rubber exhaust hangers on the Alfa 164 - which, like everything else on the car, was a PITA. Also replaced engine air and cabin air filters on the Mustang, which were easy-peasy.
Seats is what I did. Out with the old hard crappy Samurai seats and in with a set of Neon seats.
Replaced the wiper motor
started to remove the drivers seat but realized that it was going to fall apart completely (the hinge tilt mechinisim has completely come apart on one side so I stripped back the cover and welded in a bracket I made to lock it in place. (now I am searching for replacement seats for my recaro seats)
Cleaned out the drain tube tings up by the windshield.
Staired at the new cooling fan assembly I have had in the back hatch area for 6 months and let it mock me for a while because I have not put it in yet.
disassembled the old wiper motor to figure out why it failed.
