OOOH! OOOH!

They are going into the Starlet once it is back together so sorry, they are sticking around. However, I am going to a wedding in TX on the 7th in Fort Worth. Not too close to San Antonio. If you want to drive most of the way across TX I would totally meet up for a beer.
Darn, i totally would have driven up there to straight up trade for insight seats (for my 80 Plymouth Arrow). Not sure i want to drive up just to deliver a transmission. If you REALLY want the trans i could ship it to a fort worth address probably much cheaper than your home state. Are you driving?

I 110% agree with GMT800 seats... back when I had my 2000 Silverado, I used to love driving to VA (505 miles). I wouldnt even get tired. they are my vote, if you could make it work
At the risk of re-railing this thread about the merits or demerits of commuting, I'd personally love to get a crappy cell phone picture from behind tbe wheel of your galaxy as you're commuting in it for your initial fun car Friday. This week you'll have to take my place.
And please, provide feedback and feelings about how it changes your head about the daily.
Ill go back to pretending the last page didn't happen now...
I wonder if these are any better than my stock seats.

Hard to imagine them NOT being comfortable.

I don't know if I can take it now that I check the weather. A 66 Galaxie convertible is exactly watertight
Edit: weather is looking up!
True. But not really any more or less water tight than others of the era...
I try not to get my toys out in the rain intentionally, byt if I get caught in it, I don't worry much.
I drive 4 miles roundtrip a day including dropping my kids off at school in the morning. I only find my sundance boring because of how quiet it is and the lack of wheelspin with the 16's on it. If i get bored of a vehicle i usually just trade/sell it and regret it when im bored of the next one.

Have you tried modifying any of them?

my favorite daily was modified, damn near everything i drive ends up modified until the next mod is more then im willing to spend on that car. With a limited space and budget if i want a new toy an old one has to go!
Vigo wrote: Yeah, space constraints are a bitch. You ready to modify the Sundance yet?
The bottom end was rebuilt with junk hypereutectic pistons so i cant do much. exhaust tomorrow then getting rid of the patina. needs a little stiffer spring and less rim too. But its a fun car to toss around
Hop over to turbo-mopar.com and read some of my build threads (same username) for ideas on cheap junkyard suspension upgrades.
