Beer.
I bring the turkey based "ham" assortments and individual wrapped cheese, along with rolls and some sort of condiment to assemble at the track. We refer to it as plastic meat and plastic cheese, but since most tracks are located just outside of nowhere. At least it's something to eat, and it tastes the same even after it's been sitting on the bottom of the cooler, under the beer. I mean carbonated beverage.

I LOVE peanuts in the shell, and have eaten them on many an occasion in the pits, paddock, and even on the balcony of the Chateau at Sebring where you can sit in your room and watch the hairpin.
Not dead yet. Unless this is hell and that's we we still have this message board and no real search feature. Still, not half bad. Gas is under $2.00 a gallon, there's a wicked good Chinese Buffet nearby, and a reality TV star is President. I think it's Mike Boogie from Big Brother. Not sure.
At any rate, my typical assortment consist of: Flavored sugar-free seltzers or sugar free fizzy fruit drinks. Like, the ones sold by the waters not the sodas. Atkins Bars, maybe Kind Bars. Whatever I can get reliably low-carb. If it's going to be a LONG day, I'll bring some animal protein. Couple boiled eggs. Some hunks of cheese. Chicken breast, That sort of thing.
Although I try and stay low-carb as a rule because it really works well for me, I try extra harder on race days. Any starches just make me feel bloated and unable to drive anywhere but to take a crap-n-nap. No carb it and I feel like I could bend iron.
