Oh gimme that ker-a-sene
I use a super sketchy plastic tub with a gallon of kerosene in it for super greasy stuff, and run it through a funnel with a old t shirt as a filter periodically. I just wash my hands immediately after using it with petroleum based hand cleaner.
Now that I think of it, I've probably lost enough brain cells to explain some of the off the wall E36 M3 I do.
As a kid, Grandaddy's parts washer had "varsol" in it which smells and looks suspiciously like kerosene although it is apparently name branded mineral spirits.
as i was taught back there in School,(A&P) WATER AND OIL do not mix, so petroleum based products for Final clean, Detergents WILL leave a residue, With good pressure you don't need anything but water, hot water is mo' better,WHAT you don't have a Steam Cleaner? Do you have a water heater in Da House? most have a drain that a hose can be attached to. but the pressure washer may still be needed.

I use a mix of mineral sprits and kerosene. When it get dirty I drain it into plastic jugs and let the solids settle to the bottom. I then pour off the upper solvent and reuse it. I've been using the same solvent for years. I do add to it as I lose some in the process and through evaporation. The dirtiest of the solvent gets mixed with my used motor oil and disposed of.
FYI, most used oil is not reprocessed due to contamination with other "stuff". I know this as when I worked for a major oil company I arranged the pick up used oil from various locations. It was returned to our oil refinery and mixed with other petroleum products and burned to produce heat that produced steam that was used to refine crude oil. It's wasn't going to waste as something had to be burned to produce that steam to make gasoline, etc. from crude oil.
You must not be anywhere near a sea port Around here waste oil is commonly used in sea going ships. (Or in our case Great lakes iron ore carriers and whatever sea going ships wander all the way into Lake Superior.
