VW Karmann Ghia. A bug will fit with custom halves according to what I read.
Most old kit cars you're likely to find in that condition were based on the VW pan. There are still vendors out there to make them handle and go pretty well. Not to mention, purpose-built pans are now being reproduced.
It looks familiar to me, but after 4 or 5 years of attending the Carlisle Import and Kit Car show, I've probably walked past a few without taking too much notice.
yeah the VW thing doesn't scare me off either....there is so much information out there. When I bought my Baja and checked out thesamba I was just overwhelmed.
This pic shows a different shape to the fenders and headlights. There must have been a couple of variations to the kit, or maybe some customization going on.
Is it just me-or does anyone else think the front 1/4 of the hood and plate holder area look like they were stolen from the rear of a Triumph Spitfire?

Because if I'm going to screw around with an old bug chassis, I'd rather just have a Meyers Manx or a Bug itself!

Okay, no need to get your panties in a wad. Chill, its just a chunk of fiberglass tossed on top of a bug chassis, either you like it or you don't.

Que? I wasn't getting upset, I like Bugs. I just don't like them slathered in a non-Manx fiberglass is all. If this was based on a Z or something I'd have still gone and had a ponder at it. Why does everybody think I'm high-strung this week?
