Lighthearted take on the doom and gloom to distract ourselves.
Find the best $1200 car!
I have a feeling we're about to have a whole lot of fun cars to choose from for a couple of months. I was hoping to get some new tires with my stimulus check, but I don't get one for round 1 of the economic stimulus game.
I'll ante up with a $1200 MR-S.
Challenge Stimulus sub-class? That would be an appropriate replacement this year for the $1000 sub-class.
Sadly the distance makes this more like a $2500 car but...

Looks more solid than mine
Just be like every other facebook marketplace buyer and say "$1200 cash today, right now" for a $10k vehicle.
I found a 98 Audi A4 with a manual trans and a Mercedes 300TD for that price. Also spied a 92 Celica with manual.
1992 Mercury Grand Marquis 84k original miles. Starts Runs and Drives Perfect. 4 brand new tires. New Ignition. Brand new Interstate battery. That’s $600 in brand new stuff. Good Tags and Clean title. Needs paint and minor interior work. $1200 Firm
How about a race car? Some assembly required, batteries not included.

Or perhaps this historic beach racer? Again, some assembly required.

Gonna be hard to beat that mr2 Spyder for me! Since we have two kids and are married we would get 3400 under then plan I think. Can I use half that as "my share?" Hehe.
I'm picking up something this weekend I hope that will be close to the $1200 but just a few hundred over.

I believe this is a hypothetical exercise.
Dropping my stimulus check on a new E36 M3box is a very questionable move so I'm going All in

Just sent that one to my wife. Lets see how much trouble that gets me into.
I'll be using it to pay half a one-month rent to house all the cars I already previously bought.
But that doesn't stop me from wanting this V8 SHO :

You need to buy a large enough car that you can live in it when no check comes next month !
I think an old van that you can fill with toilet paper and sell in Walmart parking lot !
Stay safe

I see your 92 Grand Marquis and raise to a 95 Grand Marquis
