If I was closer, I might check this out, but I suspect the frame is a bit crusty (and a lot worse than the one on my Florida S10)

Others have said 4th Gen F-Body, 1st gen CTS-V, and base C5, and they may be right. You can also add the 2004 GTO to that list. I've seen a few cross my path in that range, and if you are willing to scrounge and search, you might be able to score a 2005-06 with the 400hp LS2 with a few issues in that range. I'd take any of those cars on that list.
Previously mentioned, but CL600/S600 can be stupid low buy in for a twin turbo V12 with berkeleytons of power.
But I pretty much gave up on going fast in cars. I have my BMW K1200S and KTM 1290 Super Adventure. Both 160+HP with really good torque, too.
funny how many of the suggestions either come back to a factory LS V8 equipped car, or an LS V8 swapped project or derivative.
I'm in the camp that thinks the big power S-10 would be a riot. If more track time is desired I'd be looking really hard at the Camaro posted by a forum member in this thread.
Both have tons of aftermarket and "been there done that" in terms of off the shelf parts or DIY write-ups.

It's been an hour, where is your build thread?
Thankfully/sadly, it's in Sarasota. Yes, I went to the effort to go find out where it was. I'm not buying something like that unless I can take a good look at it, and I'm not driving to Florida right now.

I could facetime/zoom it for you. That reminds me, I wonder if that Mercedes SL is still available.
