Sweet Mary, mother, and JDM! Nothing has ever NEEDED to be rallycrossed more.

Plus, when you think about it, what ELSE could you possibly add to your ridiculous fleet that wouldn't detract? A silver shadow is really the only option that makes sense.

Technically different chassis, but I'm fairly certain you can remove the weirdball front suspension and bolt in an B13 strut and knuckle.

Well I've never heard of that and my google-fu must be weak because I can't find any other info on this. For which generation G20?

Sorry, I'm late to the party but here is an example of a manual converted Gen1 Q45. None were ever offered stock.

300Z parts are the basis of the conversion.

That photo though. It's what you don't see that tells the story. Maybe they're selling only a front clip. Maybe it's wrecked. Maybe it's an open flower car or a hearse.

Actually, that would be cool. You definitely need to buy it if it turns out to be a hearse.

I feel like even mentioning that car to my wife would be bad for my marriage.
Someday I want to be "rallycross a Rolls Royce" wealthy.

I think I'm the only person on this board who has actually used a Silver Shadow for any sort of Motorsport, and I can say that as a novelty it was hilarious and we got plenty of good stories from it, but I would not do it again or recommend it. Even though I am now quite familiar with them and parts suppliers and whatnot, owning a Rolls has completely killed the desire I had to have a Bentley TurboR, which is 90% the same car. If you want some stories about what these are really like to work on, drive, and get (and pay for) parts for, let me know.

I read enough about you working on that car to know what sort of hell I'd be descending into. I'll let my dreams remain dreams as far as RR is concerned.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, BUT this is for sale locally and it looks like I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow. We'll see if it ends up in the driveway or not...

what about the Volvo 850 and the V/S 70? A lot of the parts to raise up the standard FWD versions are available in the Crosscountry. If you really want to get nuts, you can do a crosscountry.

Also available boosted

You don't want lifted for rallycross. Lower is faster.

I feel slightly dirty for saying that. Okay, slammed is never faster ever, because you need suspension travel. How about, lifted is always slower?

Stock-height cars can roll if they have good drivers. Why would you want to go higher.

Well, it looks like I broke all my own rules about AC and no race cars and ended up with this. At least it's an Acura, which sort of counts, right?

This reminds me of the 1974 Mercury Marquis 460 auto I had in College. I bought it for $100, and in true California IDGAF style I cut the roof off it and SLAMMED IT.

Was the ugliest thing ever, but I still kinda wish I had it because I still don't give a berkeley.

It'd be fun to see a giant land yacht on a rallycross course.
