Hi everyone. I have yet another sheet metal question. So my welding skills are horrific and I have a few small holes I would like to fill in the metal. I tried a few things that I researched but to no avail. I even tried soldering some metal onto it with my soldering iron but it would just ball up and slide off.

I have some body filler that I'm going to use to smooth out some spots, but I don't want to have moisture go into the body filler from behind these small holes and cause corrosion issues later on down the road. So, I thought of maybe using a little bit of JB Weld to cover them up before using filler, priming, and painting. Would that be fine? Anyone have any other ideas?

Body filler of your choice should be fine. Seam seal the back for extra protection.

I just used JB weld on my project car (so I can go partial bare metal finish) for the same kind of thing. I can't report how it will hold up, but it's strong stuff. If you want, I say go for it.

Or you could weld up the spots and grind them down.  A few spot welds would make that happy.

Thanks! I think I might think about the JB Weld, since I'm paranoid about moisture somehow finding its way behind the rocker and being absorbed by the filler.

I could give that a go. I'm just afraid of blowing right through, but I guess a split second should be enough to get a good seal.
