My racecar blew up 1 hour into a race in the fall of 2016. It was wearing a sticker set of Azenis RT615Ks in the weird size of 225/50R16. The wheels don't fit the other racecar and use a different tire size so we just left them on the blown up car. Since then these wheels/tires have been mounted up and sitting in storage. They're in pretty good shape, really just scrubbed in, but they're just over 5 years old. I've also got my spares from that race which were two Direzza ZIIs and a Rival, but those had about 10 hours on them.

Any value in selling tires like that? Or do I just keep them for driving on the street after I finish the swap? The wheels are worth some money in the Syncro T3 community and I wouldn't mind moving to a more aggressive and available tire/wheel package in the future.

Not sure where you are, but Champcar is racing at VIR this weekend I think. Maybe someone could use them.

Street.  I don't think anybody would pay much for tires 2 generations old.

What's weird about 225/50R16? I wouldn't hesitate to run those on track still if you can find a car to put them on. If I were local I'd be interested, that sounds like a good idea to take them along to a race and see if you can move them.

225/50/16 is good on E28s and 80s Porsches.
