I'll let the photos speak for themselves. It appeared in my driveway, I dont know what to do with it, but the wife thinks "sell it" is the proper answer. It's grubby but reasonably straight and solid. Sadly the engine and the title are both gone. Seems almost a shame to relegate it to Lemons status but that's the leading idea (after the wife's "Sell it" suggestion)

I'd think sell it, unless you are really into JDM stuff (or Celica stuff). I agree that it would be a shame to Lemons it--find a USDM one for that.
Unfortunately LeMons is a good suggestion for this, especially without title. Although I'm sure some yo-JDM-fan could probably think of a way to get it on the road but not completely legal. I have seen it done.

If I loved it enough I could go through the process to get a title but it's not worth it to me to do so to be honest. Its of the age that many states wont require a title for it so it might be a good option if someone from one of those states were interested.
That is pretty sweet but not without a title. Sad face
Put it on some JDM fan boy forum and I bet someone would scoop that thing up without a title.

Sell it to a civilian that delivers a rural postal route that also happens to be a huge fan of Celicas. The local authorities (the sheriff) would never pull them over since rural postal delivery people are known and loved by all.

I tossed it over on JNC to see if someone is interested.
That is my favorite Celica body style.
Too bad about not having a title. That kills any deals in Illinois. (the state with 2 ex-governors currently in prison)

Make friends with someone in GA :)
I went through the process in NJ and its not terrible. Working on another one right now but I screwed up which is making it a bit harder this time. Now that I know the difference between what's easy and what's not I know how to do it next time but since I'm in the middle of one and just did another not too long ago I dont want to set off flags in the system for chasing too many titles.
You could... Give it to me? I'd do cool things to it.

I could close to give it to you, but I think the PO is owed something and he gave it to me with the thought of either I sell it and help him out (he is young and broke) or I put it in Lemons and give him a seat. So it would be cheap but I cant quite give it away....rest assured that all proceeds will go to a young kid trying to make a Volvo 240 wagon into a competent autocrosser and not a middle aged nutjob trying to make a Yugo into a competent...anything.
If there's a chance of delivery we should talk.

Sadly I lack anything capable of delivery at this time. I have the 53 Studebaker truck but a) its not quite road ready yet and b) 45 mph the whole way to you would be painful :)

As the profile says, Mullica Hill, NJ, right outside Philly.
Well i can figure something out if i have to. Could you send more details (including how to title it if possible) to celicahalftrac at gmail? I like first gens better but this car is tugging at me for some reason. Probably because it's a coupe.

Email sent. If the heat breaks and I get a few moments I want to clean it up so folks can see how nice it really is under all the grime.

If it was a runner I'd use it for left hand shift training. There is some loose discussion about making the Yugo a center steer car and if I did it would be simpler to put the shifter on the left but I'm not sure how quick the drivers will adapt to it.

I'm a Toyota guy at heart, though... If i can make this happen, it'll get a Toyota mill of some sort. I'm just not sure if it needs an 18rg to keep it old school, or if it needs a 3TC-turbo for massive power, or a BEAMS, or a V6 of some sort.
