With accessories and argon? One advertised for $1100 and I had been pretty set on getting a diversion 165, but I was thinking if I could get them down to $800 or so, I'd go for it.
Any thoughts on the machine? Seems like it would be a good match for my light fab requirements (WTF... I first typed in light "fag" requirements... thank god for proofreading).

I'm now wondering what weight constitutes a "light fab". I'm going sub-120lb. But since "fab" generally refers to males, I'll go 140.
Anywho, I'm thinking I'm going to pass- they're asking 1100, I was set to offer 800, but the amp draw is about 50, which is what my garage is going to be wired for. The inverters top at mid-30's and are lighter and take up less space. I've been scoping the Inversion 165, but then checked out these "everlast" models which are much cheaper and get decent reviews on pirate 4x4 (I keep digging this "fab" thing deeper, don't I?). http://www.everlastgenerators.com/products-category-58.html
Anyone have any experience? I know they're chinese, I know they aren't for professional shops, and I know that a miller will get me repaired locally. BUT... these are 1/2 price for the same output, tested and verified.
There's a guy on youtube doing a thorough review of one of the Everlast TIG/Stick/Plasma units. Search for weldingtipsandtricks. Seems to work ok, and the customer service worked well for him.
I chickened out and went Miller. Pricey, but they likely will be around years from now and I can get parts and service pdq. And yet sometimes I regret spending the money on the Miller.
Miller also has a Diversion 180 - you can never have too much power. The lack of features steered me away from the Diversions - I plan on welding up projects until the future grandkids try not to let me near it. Might as well get something I won't likely outgrow.
I've had an SD180 for a few years. I bought mine in essentially new condition with loads of consumables and filler rods, a large bottle of argon (from the local gas supplier so refills are easy) running gear, a cart and other miscellaneous stuff. I recall the whole rig had cost the best part of $3k new - I paid about $1800 and consider it a steal. It's a really nice machine.
I picked up a Millermatic 185 MIG from a guy I was buying a compressor from (a US made Speedaire 5hp-2 stage-4 cylinder-60 gallon) - we'd finished the compressor deal, I'd paid and loaded and was backing out of the shop.
"Hey! wait...You like welding macheem?" "I like welding macheem" "Ees een the back..."
I ended up w/ the compressor, the welder, 2 30# spools of wire and mostly full bottle of C25 (also from the local gas supplier) for about 8 bills. Another steal.
I'd say a clean SD180 for a G is a fine deal.
