So the father in law gave me the carcass of a 67 mustang coupe he pulled out of a field and used it for parts. So i was thinking about trying to build a 201x challenge car out of it but i have no idea what the shell is worth. Hell the owner paid my father in law to come get the thing and gave him the title.

It was a straight 6 car with a 4 speed and he stripped the trans, pedals, engine and brakes off for other projects. It's gonna need a floor, lower quarter, minor frame patching due to rust and a powertrain but it has a decent interior and most of the trim is in the trunk.

So thought's on what the "buy in" would be?

Find out how much it weighs, then find out the $/lb for scrap in your area. Or if some of the yards have a "junk car" flat rate price. That's where I'd start.
