Hi all,

I'm looking for a GRM wheel solution for my Neon rally crosser. I want to move up to 15 wheels for better tire selection. I'm trying to figure out what OEM rims from Dodge or other companies will fit my car. I've tried looking for a list or chart on the internet to no avail.

The Neon has the 5 x 100 bolt pattern. The offset of the stock wheels is +35mm. The AR14 rims that were suggested in an early GRM article (and I currently have on the car) have an offset of +40mm. What other cars have similar specs that came with 15 inch wheels? If I had a list of wheels to look for, I could go to the junkyard and start looking. Any and all help is appreciated.

Secondly, I'm interested in what you folks use to shave/cut your tires. I want to open up the tread a bit more on some all seasons I have to try and get a little more grip in the dirt. Has anyone done this and if so, how did you do it? If there is an easy and cheap way of increasing the size of the gaps in the tread, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks for your help.

Cavaliers and sunfires use the same bolt pattern and offset. Just find one with 15" wheels (early sunfire GT and some others)

The stock offset is 40mm, autocross guys used to use +35mm AR24s since they were legal and lighter than stock.

2001-2005 neons were all 5x100 and most of them came with alloy or steel 15" wheels.

Chrysler FWD cars (not the Mitsu rebodies) from 1985-1995 used 5x100 wheels with similar offset.

I got dyslexic on that one, thanks for the correction.

How about the tire cutting question? Maybe a dremel bit? Razor? I'd really like to open up the tread blocks by a 6-7 more mm.

Thanks.
