This unfolded on Twitter last night:
Alexander Rossi and the Borg-Warner Trophy visited an Orlando mall last night.
Katie, a racing fan, couldn't leave her store because she's the manager. So she tweeted her predicament.
So Rossi and the trophy went to her.

That is a really cool story and I'd be willing to bet that Rossi's actions created some new fans for the sport. Good on him.
He seems like a really likeable guy, and a great representative for the sport.
Great story. And wow, WOW, that trophy is amazing. I don't know if there's another on the planet that compares.
Cool dude, classy move. Can you imagine LCH taking the F1 trophy to a random worker in a mall?
Ha - that's really, really cool!
Just in case you didn't know---- all those little bumps on the trophy are likenesses of the winners. This and the Stanley Cup are the two coolest trophies out there!

There was a two hour period a few years ago during which I was solely responsible for insuring that the Stanley Cup did not burst into flames.
I hope Indy Car keeps getting likeable, relatable drivers. It worked for Nascar for decades. I wanna see the Indy 500 return to it's former glory.

I had no idea that trophy was so freakin' big. To have every winner's face on it makes it a real honor to to be added.
After Rossi's heavy handed punting of the race leader on the last lap on Sunday I'd maybe see if I could go on break when he came by,,,
Wanna like him but that was sad, his tires were toast 5 laps earlier yet he stilled tried to force his way thru the inside across the paint stripes....ALEX!!!!!!?

If he made it he’s a hero. Gotta try.
I'm with Caffeine on this. It was unfortunate, but I truly believe it was a racing incident. I hope he mans up and walks down the pit lane to offer a sincere mea culpa to Wickens, but no further action was needed or warrantied.
What Indy car really needs to do is to go back to using local yellows or an F1 style virtual safety car not full course yellows for every incident. The last two full course yellows really spoiled the end. It just takes too long to bunch everyone up and re-shuffle them.

Was it by chance the day that it was being passed around on the 401 ?
Should you ever happen to see this coming along the baggage claim conveyor belt at your local airport... this is the Stanley Case.
Wait, the berkeleying Stanley Cup goes in checked baggage??? What happens when Delta inevitably loses it? I'd think the NHL could afford to buy the thing it's own seat.
