Pulled the shift cable from Rosie. Confirmed that the eye bolt on the bottom that is supposed to pivot was not and fatigued till it broke.
Started looking for cables and for a new transmission side shift lever that has an eyelet built-in.
Problem is that everything for a 4L80E seems to have a bolt down instead of threaded section.
Threaded section of "stocker"
Bolt down of aftermarket.
For fun, broken end.
I have confuse.
It looks to me like they share the same end at that end, so to speak, and you also need the pivoting part, which looks like a separate part that threads onto that cable's threaded shaft and then inserts into the hole in the arm.
That is, the part of the cable that looks like it installs in the same way also has the end that looks like it installs the same way. That leaves me assuming that the other end of the cable uses the bolt down and has a place to engage with that hole.
I haven't kept up with other threads, so I don't know what Rosie is to go try to look up the pivot block...

In reply to MrJoshua :
Took me a while and a good night sleep to realize what you did there.
Im now more confused about what the OP is looking for in the new cable, or just looking for the broken piece that threads on.
edit: Search found this
Part 6 on this diagram is a separate part.

I should have MSpainted.
Does this help? The blue is the sticking point. Every 4L80E cable I find has the end that the red cable has. I need the one in the top pic, or I need to redo the whole setup. I'm hoping to avoid a whole kit as those get pricey

So it looks like I inadvertently posted on with the cable threaded in the section you circled. I think...
edit: it looks like the one you posted has nuts in the section circled as well, so I think I'm still confused, or is the circled end of the aftermarket cable not the end that goes to the shifter?

My cable has threads and nuts on both sides to attach/secure the housing of the cable to the body and transmission.
The red cable appears to have a bolt-down eye on the transmission side, but threads and nuts on the body side.
Edit: in this pic, my broken cable is the longer one. Top of the pic is the body side of the cable, bottom side is transmission side.
No reason to make this complicated. Your truck has a Lokar part number ACA-1804 shift setup.

Call Lokar and get another cable or at least the part number. They're nice people and easy to deal with. I've had to contact them for small parts and they were always welcoming and friendly.

Mike, Eddie, exactly the info I needed. Thanks.
Factory doesn't use a quite long slotted bracket, it would be one round hole and one hole slightly elongated.
Above diagram shows column shift instead of a floor shift. Although in later years, they got wise and just flipped the shift arm orientation for either.

Hrm. Initial response from Lokar is disheartening. From what they can tell it's the wrong cable setup and shouldn't be on the truck as it can wear improperly even if installed correctly (which this wasn't)
Gonna see if they have a path forward. If not I'm gonna wing it

Just for a (potential, won't know for sure till on the truck) wrap up on this
Lokar quoted ~$130 for the cable and the trans-side lever with swivel. This is not something I want to pay, so I bought a B&M cable with the eye-end and a similar B&M mount to go next to the pan. I'll figure out if everything matches up, then I'll go from there.
The Lokar Rep Said:
72” Push Pull Cable Part No. 1825 ($98.95)
Trans Lever Assembly with Trans Lever Cable Stud Part No. S-1825 ($30.95)
