Those late-80s to early 90s cars are, IMO, just beautiful. Wish I'd been able to attend races during this era.

Very first race I attended was the 1985 LA Times IMSA race at Riverside. Incredible.
This made be odd, But I think of the current Conti Sportscar Challenge series and the old Kelly American Challenge. They had some sweet looking Stock cars.

That right there is the pinnacle of all things glorious at the time ....four events four shutout victories the phrase BOP hadn't been created yet, but this demon german craft had been banned before half season....once in awhile I see it for sale here in the US occasionally on the high end dealer websites...if ever you see photos/writeup of this the fab/engineering rivals that of a 917.....
