My Google-fu has failed me. My 2000 Protege needs new front underbody trays, but I can't find them anywhere online. Anyone know where I can get them? Alternatively, what's a good DIY alternative?

It's unusual for them to be available anywhere but the dealership or the junkyard. Good DIY alternatives include sheet aluminum, sheet ABS, alumalite, and coroplast.

(sheet ABS is probably best)

don't use reverse when in wet heavy snow. Sheet ABS is the way to go.

Gawd, I thought that was the back of a washing machine.

BTW, any reason recycled appliances wouldn't work?

An aluminum full sheet pan from a bakery would work better than a sunroof panel, and bonus points for the donut smell.

I bought my Mazda front under tray from Rockauto.com I'm always amazed what I can find (new AND cheap) on that site.
