Buy me one too.
The hf trailers really aren't that bad. The trick is to decide not to use the folding feature, bolt the two halves together, and use pressure treated 3/4" plywood for the deck. The one piece deck will add a lot to the structure. Sides will add more stiffness too, and the way the tongue folds works well for tilting the trailer.
That said, the minimum upgrades are a good bearing clean and regrease and spare bulbs. I wouldn't use one without swapping to a 2" coupler (I hate 1 7/8"), new quality bearings, and led lighting as well.

the campers we turned into utility trailers have leaf springs. i don't know how much weight we've put on them but i had around 1000# of carpet pad on one.
where are the $400 bridgeports? i'll buy one.
Very cool sounds like they are pretty stout for what they are.
Need less to say the bridgeports are in high demand at that price. I will see them for about day and they are gone.
I asked about one two weeks back and it was spoken for in less than two hours after it was listed

Great information thanks! Info on beefing up hft trailers is fairly limited so glad you mentioned it
Sorry to drag this back up, but not sure if the PM is working. Jere- did you find a trailer yet? If you still need one, I no longer need my 5x10.
