I'm planning on getting my kids involved in the SCCA Formula Junior A class for sprint karts next year. They will be running a WKA legal kart with a KT-100 yamaha. I was going to build a chassis that I already have, but have decided that I will likely be farther ahead by buying a complete used kart to start with. My question is where is a good place to look for karts for sale? I already look at Ebay, CL, the GRM Marketplace, local papers, etc..
Any tips?
Thanks,
Jim

I just sold my Rotax CRG kart a month ago. There were a lot of karts listed on ekartingnews.com but I got no bites at all there even after relisting over the course of 3 months. If that kind of lack of activity on ekartingnews is normal, it might be good for you as a buyer.
Ebay worked much better for me as a seller.
Local is always best so look at your local karting web sites and get out there to a local event and ask around. Often the locals will post a flyer or bring down the kart with a For Sale sign.

Depending where you're at in Ohio, you may want to make a short trip to Indiana. New Castle Motorsports Park is one of the nicest kart tracks in the country, with a great retail shop.
