Have a funky wiring question to ask for my fellow automotive gum shoes. I have recently acquired an old AIM MXL dash out of a crashed racecar that I wanted to put in my little Lexus IS300. I was planning on just going straight to the OBD2 port to get my power, ground, can lo and can hi outputs. Reading on the Lexus forums, they give a pin out on all the applicable pins needed. So, I try it, no go. I can power it up, I can see battery output, but that is all. Any good leads without having to strip wires and butt-connect (I'm really hoping I don't have to go this route) or is this just a lost cause.
Thanks fellas!

Nothing helpful to add here....other than that steering wheel looks out of place in a IS300 of this vintage.
I may have an obd2 adapter for the aim system, I can check later today.
Also, do have the aim software? It's free and allows you to connect / configure the display. There are settings for the can / ECU setup, your might be set for some other ECU or turned off.

;) $40 pull-a-part wheel, found where to adapt the old push button shifters to convert over to the paddles

I do have the Aim software. I'll have to try plugging in and reconfiguring the dash. Just gotta find that pesky cable

I wound up making my own cable from a headphone cord & usb cable. The schematic is in the pdf manual.
