Hey all, my buddy has a 2010 A3 with the 2.0 TSFI and he's wanting to get a tuner for it. The only one I'm even vaugely familiar with is Cobb and they don't make one for his car. So that brings me here, to the braintrust. Which one do y'all recommend? He had the DSG and no desire for a new exhaust/intake.

both apr and giac have very good reputations. if you get multiple tunes APR changes tunes though the cruise control stock, GIAC uses a hand held tool that plugs into the OBD port if i remember right.

when i had my 1.8t a4 i did APR, was very happy with the outcome. a friend had a 2.0t jetta and got the GIAC, it was also great.

i would say its more just personal preference, 6 of one half dozen of the other

Where is your friend located? I know a guy in Northern VA that does a lot of ECU work on VAG products.
