I need to order up some numbers for the Mustang.

Do we have a preferred source?

I'd suggest buying a vinyl cutter.  Then you can cut your own numbers to apply to a square of magnetic material.

I bought some white magentic sheet years ago. You can put stickers on it, draw on it (I use it for whiteboards on steel cabinets) or cut it into whatever shape you want with scissors. I initially bought it for another reason (weatherstripping on some steel French doors) but it's been really handy and great for making numbers. Some of it even got used in a Road and Track article or two :) I do have a vinyl cutter as well which is how we do the graphics that go on the sheet, but it's easy to find vinyl cutting people.

Mine was a 2'x10' roll of EnduraMAG that I bought from SignWarehouse for $32 in 2013. I doubt I'm halfway through it. Looks like the price has spiked to $35!

I just realized that I have a picture of it on Codrus' old car! We did put some tape on the leading edge out of an excess of caution when lapping 340 rwhp Miatas at Laguna Seca.

I got a good set of magnetic number panels from Spinywhoosh. lasted about 9 years before they cracked.

Seen here stuck to my paint cabinet.

I replaced them with some short track style vinyls from racing graphics . com

But now that I've got the volvo I may get a new set.

I do still have the car, even if it doesn't go to the track any more! :)

I don't think he does magnetics any more, but if you want nice numbers for your plain magnetic sheet try:  https://www.trackdecals.com/

I've been using iZoom Graphics for years.

https://izoomgraphics.com

The numbers are on thick magnetic material, the designs look good, and the vinyl holds up to sun and RallyX abuse.

Best part is when you hit all the cones and lose a number in the fray, there's a portal with all your previous orders, and you can just re-order the same font/style easily.

I bought a couple of 3-packs of magnetic heating vent covers from Menards. They were six or seven bucks a pack. They're just about perfect for putting a single digit on, then you can swap them around to make different numbers if need be.
