You guys saw that we're now doing podcasts, right? So far we have interviewed Hot Rod's David Freiburger, pro racer Charles Espenlaub, DeltaWing chief engineer Simon Marshall, SRT Viper engineer Eriche Heushele, and our very own Margie Suddard. Future ones feature a mix of drivers, industry leaders and those who make things happen.
Going forward, who would you like to see us interview? And, yes, Oderus is already on our dream list.
Randy Pobst?
Author of "Think Fast", Neil Roberts?
Bob Tunnell?
Keith Tanner!
Trying to think of a good fabricator/builder who's likely to have some good basic insights into building stuff and stories of same...
Mike Finnegan from Hot Rod/Roadkill.
Thom Taylor.
Roger Penske.
John Force.
Andy Hollis
Mark Daddio
Mike "Junior" Johnson
Jay Lamm / Nick Pon
John Condren
Kurt Bilinski of Midlana Fame
Andy Nelson
Doctor McDreamy
Warren van Nus

Gerardo Bonilla. The mazda ladder system was practically created because of him.
DrBoost
PowerDork

Keith Tanner
Jey Leno
Ralph Gilles
The winner of the previous years Challenge (or maybe a few of the entrants that built something original)
My mom. You can ask her why she never loved me and why she never took me to the zoo like she promised.
That last guest will either bore folks, or be EPIC!
We worked on our brainstorm list today, and now it's up to 124 names. The nice thing is that all of these people are just a phone call away.

That's one out of left field that I really like. Thanks. Keep those suggestions coming.
Find some cool Metal musicians that are into racing and cars. You would be killing two birds with one stone.
I second the call for
Andy Nelson
Keith Tanner
lets not take the chance on any more GRM legends passing too soon
I would add
Jeremy Clarkson
Tanner Foust
Adam Ferrara
Rutledge Wood
Ben Collins
DrBoost
PowerDork

Since we're shooting for the moon here...
Sergio Marchionne
Elon Musk
Too bad Shelby is gone....
Ted Nugent (I'm sure he'll talk about cars....and EVERYTHING else)
Dr. Bob Paasch, advisor, Global Formula Racing, Oregon State U.
(?), advisor, University of Washington Racing.
Dr. Bob Woods, advisor, University of Texas Arlington FSAE.
Dr. Make McDermott, advisor, Texas A&M Racing.
Neil Roberts, Think Fast Engineering.
Claude Rouelle, OptimumG.
Trevor Harris, designer of the BLAT Eagle. If you're ready for the chance of a really short podcast, open with "So, what is BLAT and what leading-edge device is needed to make it work?"
Dan Gurney (AAR) and Jim Hall (Chaparral) are obvious, but they're probably bored of reusing the same 30 minutes of material about ten years of work 30 years ago - if you ask in advance about a specific car or vehicle area so they get to go back to their papers beforehand it might go well.
I want to hear from the real people.
Wally
Woody
Angry Corvair
Curmudgeon guy
and that other angry, pissed off guy
If you want a random subject sometime, dial 248-576-xxxx - that's a telephone exchange for the Chrysler Technology Center and chances are you'll get an engineer's direct line.
Leslie and Sabine Schmitz

Yes, Rutledge, with his love of datsuns, would be perfect
BTW, anybody associated with BRE would be cool
Thought of a few more:
Bob Bondurant (duh)
Adam Carolla (vintage Datsun love)
Peter Gregg (Brumos)
Shaq (he lives in Orlando and is a huge car nut, ask him about the model car with working hydraulics he commissioned right after signing with the Magic)
Chuck Yeager (his wife answers the phone, he paced the Indy 500 once and loves American sports cars and motorcycles)
Edd China.
Maybe Mike Brewer too but I think Edd is more the guy we are looking for.
Edd would be a great guest judge for future Challenges or even a neat guy to have on site for The Mitty.
Maybe a future use of podcasts...
The Pro-drivers make a lot of autocross runs in the Challenge cars. I think some driver's impressions from some of the more outlandish cars may be interesting. Said another way, some of their greatest moments from previous years Challenges; what the Challenge means to them and why they love to come back every year.
The Hong Nation.
Though, I am not sure that audio is the right medium to capture the true essence.
Mark Worman... Just to ask wtf?
