Why do "waffles" get added into posts I copy from GRM?

For my rally car build thread, I have a "carbon copy" on another forum. When I post first there and cut-and-paste here, all is normal. But when I post it here it looks like this:

Some fresh Federal Federally G10 tires arrived today. Haven't used these before but the price is right and they've gotten good reviews from a lot of the guys up in New England who have been running them.  Went with the 185/65/15 size, which will be about an inch taller diameter than our 14" sets, so that'll be nice to get a little more ground clearance. I'm also getting a second set of these from Jon Kramer, which he used for SOFR last month. 

but when i copy the text off GRM into the other forum, I get this:

Are you cutting and pasting from the edit/composition screen or when viewing your post?

I just took your chunk of text and dumped it to notepad and found no waffles.

This is to be expected when you post using the free wifi at Waffle House.

from the edit/composition screen. I do it that way so I can copy the code for the photos.

Great. Now I'm hungry.

I will note that this has happened on multiple occasions but only when copying from the GRM edit screen to R3Vlimited forum (which I think is vBulletin, but not sure)

Just curious if you copy text to elsewhere (another website, etc) and paste into RV3limited if you get the same result?  I suspect the 'waffles' may be an anti-spam feature on the RV3limited forum.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a ploy on someone’s end to make sure intellectual property isn’t stolen via their website. Or their website used in intellectual “theft”, thus making them accomplice or at least indicted. #idontwannaliveonthisplanetanymore
