That's not a Limousine, it's a bus. A stretched van/SUV is just another bus.

You're riding the bus.

Limo companies have fleeced the public with these drunkbusses for years now.

They're cheaper to stretch because they're body-on-frame so the limo companies like them more.

If I'm paying for a damn limo to take me somewhere, it had better be a stretched Lincoln or Cadillac sedan.

Have a little class for crying out loud.

Along those lines, I saw one of these in Vegas:

A stretch armored truck made into a limo.

Because... reasons, I guess.

Do you still have the k car limo? If you're done with it I'm interested.

Yeah, i do, but i consider it totally different than a 'real' limo in the sense of things i dont like because it has no non-oem wiring/welding/upholstery/seatbelts etc and is probably shorter than an extended cab Ford Ranger.

Don't ALL stretch vehicles have non-oem wiring/welding/upholstery/seatbelts?

I'm a little confused on that.

It looks like an L series. If it is, it came from the factory that way.

But L series Town Cars are only 6" longer (rear seat legroom). If it is 10" longer, it is probably custom.

If it is custom, I don't see how the construction process could be any different, ie: cut the car in half, weld in extensions to the frame and body, redo the interior, no crash testing.

One thing. They might be concerned some of the other "stretches" sagged in the middle. This one probably won't.

Working at a Casino, I often see all sorts of limos coming and going (we even have our own fleet of Silver Stretched Towncars) but I get a big snicker everytime I see a stretched hummer.. all that room, and teeny tiny doors for the people to get in

No, I'm implying that there is a difference between a limousine and a drunkbus.

The drunkbusses are built on Lincoln and Cadillac chassis as well.

If your "limo" has a stripper pole in it or a bunch of dudebros yelling "woooo", it's probably a drunkbus.

Umm, all Town Cars are body on frame.

Somewhat off topic but I had a laugh a few years ago from some European tourists. Since Town Cars live forever they start out in NY picking up millionaire execs on Wall Street and get passed from owner to owner until they are basically taxis. Even as gypsy cabs they still generally look good because the owners keep them up.

One night I was in Harlem walking home when a couple started to talk to me. While we were talking a black Town Car pulled up and two kids still in their uniforms ran out of McDonalds and hopped in. The husband was impressed that in America everyone traveled in Limos.
