V6 vs V8.

Fugly?

I think he needs some wheels w/ a bit less offset. Just a bit.
I bet at night that thing has neon and you know what color. Paint it flat black ,add real bullet holes [ alot] then light it on fire.
I'm never sure what to think when I see a good execution of a horrible idea. I mean - the workmanship is pretty impressive. Given a different direction the person who did this would be praised. OTOH, WTF were you thinking dude?

I just assumed it was some screw on kit, so you think the guy actually made those panels? Lets say he got some proper wheels & tires, let the air out of the suspension, is it still fugly? Not as fugly?

I can't imagine a widebody kit was ever produced for the taurus. That makes me think it's hand fabbed. By someone with skills. And horrible taste.
Could this be the first instance where the addition of box flares DON'T make everything awesomer?
Well, they are as boxy as you can get on the jellybean Taurus.........
Wider wheels would help, but not much.
After looking at it again, I've come to the conclusion that a widebody Taurus would look good if it was done right... and this one actually isn't far off. Scale down the flares, get rid of that goddawful hood and roof, and get some wider wheels/tires.... It could work. This one just needs to go on a major weight loss program.
Wow, that's one car that I didn't think you could make any uglier. They should have incorporated more ovals into the design!

So I'm not the only guy that thought that.
On subject: that has to be one of the most horrible things ever dreamt (nightmared?) up. I think he got bit by one of those big weird Aussie spiders as he got cranked up.
I'm curious what the good people of Australia did to deserve the steaming turd that is the third gen Taurus. I'm suprised American marketeers didn't dress this up in some condescending way to appeal to Aussies... the "Taurus Outback", with a suspension lift and a roo bar, etc.
As with all monstrosities of this nature, I don't question the motives and thoroughly understand the passion involved. Most outsiders visiting here would have the same derrogatory "waste of money and effort" remarks about our modded Yugos, Merkurs, and E30s.
It sure is ugly, though.
