J-man mentioned these to me a while back. After some research, I decided to give them a try and see if I could mount a set of 4x108 Mustang wheels on a 4x110 1st gen RX-7. I had to make some centering rings to adapt the wheel center to the hub on the Mazda, but low and behold they bolted up and run fine. The bolts came from Lakeshore Wheel and Tire. http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/
The bolts can make up a 2.4 mm difference in diameter. BTW they aren't cheap. A set of 20 will set you back about $60.00. But they do work. They will also open up a whole realm of wheels for us poor fools that have 1st gen RX-7s.
Here's a couple of close ups:
You could have at least cleaned the cobwebs off the wheels before you snapped a pic.
is this safe? for street? autoX?
They torqued up properly. It will see autocross action next month. I don't see any reason they shouldn't be as safe as regular lug bolts. They look to be made out of better stuff. If they fail, I promise you guys will be the second to know.
I've always wondered about these since I've owned several FBs in the past. Let us know how they hold up to AutoX.
Just ordered some friday to bolt my 4X100 panasports to the Fiat. Got them through a fiat specific supplier. They are TUV approved so they have been tested for safety.

FWIW, these are OEM lug bolts on BMW motorcycles with Paralever rear ends, which came around in about 1994. I'd say they're safe.
