Question - would you rather be broke because she came home with a set of R comps for the next track day or because she blew the money on a pair of Manolos?

If the R-comps will never get run by you, what's the difference?

I assume you wouldn't wear the Manolos either...

The R-Comps were probably cheaper. Some shared interest goes a long way in a relationship IMHO and if you can get the whole family out to the race/auto-X/HPDE then even better.

Both the R-comps and Manolos are going to wear out eventually.

I say that if she has the legs and wears the shoes when she's not walking, it's a fun ride either way.

Win, Win.........

Time to get "sticky" together?

I got lucky with my wife as well. She knows more about cars than most of my guy friends and gets "worked up" over F1 and WRC races. Although, I'm trying to get her into autocross more. Her ULTRA-competitiveness has made for some interesting runs.

I introduced a friend of mine to Auto-X back in the late 80's. He met his wife there and a they are still going strong. They both drive 914's and are working on a 912.
